Course Content

Topics:

Greetings, introductions, farewells, basic polite expressions; colours, numbers 1–5, my face, my body, toys, Christmas, berries, fruits and vegetables, animals, my family, home, shapes, institutions and professions, weather, seasons, days of the week.

Language Knowledge:

• Nouns – singular and plural forms
• Numerals – cardinal numbers 1–5
• Adjectives – colours, size concepts
• Pronouns – I, you, he/she, we, you (plural), they
• Verbs
• Adverbs of place (under, above, inside, on, in the middle)

Learning Outcomes
The child can:

• greet and say goodbye;
• ask politely and express thanks;
• introduce themselves;
• say numbers 1–5;
• understand simple instructions;
• sing a few songs;
• name colours, fruits, vegetables, animals, shapes, and emotions.
